When flying on an airplane, it can be a very interesting experience, especially if you’re dressed for the occasion. A lot of people wonder, “How do you travel with a suit on an airplane?” Here are some ideas that will make your trip go smoothly and be really easy. Whether flying for work, an event, or a formal occasion, I’ll share how to travel comfortably and stylishly. Believe me, it’s all about having a plan and packing really smartly. These are my recommendations for a COMFORTABLE and stylish outfit on long flights.
Comfortable dress
Now let’s concentrate/focus on your comfort level. I know what you’re thinking – “But I’ve to put on the suit!” And yes, you’re entirely right – but there are some options to make it work, so that you won’t feel trapped inside that stiff jacket for hours. I always make sure that I wear something super underneath my suit – such as a soft cotton shirt. Cotton is a real life-changer since it keeps me COOL and completely comfortable – and I don’t get too hot or perspire too heavily.
For the bottom part, I really love those stretchy chinos or the most comfortable trousers – they’ll feel just like sweatpants but still look quite respectable. These clothes will move with you – and let you stretch out whenever you wanna. Another trick is to have shoes that you can easily slip on and then take off. After all, who wants to be stuck with their shoes when they’ve to go through pledge – and that’s when you need them most.
Okay, so this might appear to be a rather unusual question – but stick with me. Maybe you’re putting together a costume for a specific event or just wanna get a little more creative. Let’s consider what you might dress up as that begins with the letter A. Here’s a pretty fun idea: “astronaut”. Just think about wearing that very cool astronaut suit that shines and looks really glistening. That’s a pretty fun idea, isn’t it? You can add just a few little touches to make it even more AMAZING.
Perhaps you’d prefer to opt for something a bit more fabulous – like “angel”. Angels are really beautiful, elegant, and always stylish. A nice, clean outfit – plus a pair of wings and maybe some gold accents. You’ll certainly stand out and feel just FANTASTIC. The best thing? You can have fun and still travel light without many accessories.
One challenge of traveling in a suit is keeping it fresh and wrinkle-free. Nothing is quite so bad as having to arrive at your destination with a suit that looks like it’s been rumpled into a ball. However, over the years, I found the solution to traveling in a suit on a plane without it ending up in a complete mess. If you ever have to travel in a suit, then try rolling your suit rather than folding it. I roll the jacket and trousers carefully to prevent creases. It works every time!
I always carry a small handheld cloth steamer in my carry-on bag. It doesn’t take up a lot of space – and I promise it’s totally worth it! A quick steam in the hotel room – or even on the plane (if there’s time) will make a big difference. Those awful wrinkles will disappear – and I’ll be good to go and look sharp once more!!
Those long flights themselves are quite the test of endurance – but with the right outfit and a bit of forethought, I’ll be able to make it through them. I do try to stay pretty hydrated. I always take my water bottle onto the plane and drink loads of water during the flight itself. This helps me feel better and avoid dryness, which makes long flights unpleasant.
For me, a neck pillow is essential. It supports my head during short naps, especially in a suit. It does a really COZY area to rest while still looking quite presentable when I wake up. Plus, a TOP-NOTCH neck pillow lets me forget all about that dreaded neck ache when we finally arrive at our destination. I’ll look great, feel super comfortable – and travel perfectly!
